Il Congresso è stato organizzato grazie al lavoro ed alla collaborazione delle famiglie e dei servitori- insegnanti dei Club della Campania e di altre regioni.
Esso rappresenta il punto di arrivo di un lungo lavoro di riflessione, confronto ed elaborazione collettiva, grazie al quale è stato ribadito che la linea fondamentale di sviluppo del sistema ecologico sociale è il cambiamento. Ai lavori hanno partecipato oltre mille membri dei Club provenienti da tutta l’Italia oltre che da numerosi paesi esteri. All’apertura dei lavori, dopo la lettura dell’indirizzo di saluto del Presidente della Repubblica e di Alcolisti Anonimi, sono intervenuti nell’ordine Anna Ferrazzano, vicepresidente Province of Salerno, Ermanno War, Councillor for Social Policies of the City of Salerno, Gennaro Shepherd, in charge of employees of the Region Campania, Scafato Emanuel, head of the National Center for Alcohol and reference center at the National Institute of Health and Chairman of the SIA, Gianfranco Valiante, chairman of the anticamorra region of Campania. The Congress took into account the indications given by the comparison of thematic working groups, which have discussed the following topics:

Congress as a whole, the Assembly and groups have worked in a warm and constructive, aimed at the development process and the integrity of the system. In particular, the groups presented the following proposals

1. The club with its guiding principles - including sobriety, solidarity, peace - is an instrument of rapprochement and dialogue between different cultures. This attitude of acceptance and appreciation of diversity should apply first of all in the face of diversity present in our programs.
2. The example of S. Francis, led by his father Salezze, reminds us how the search for positively change the social culture action is often very problematic, especially in times of social unrest like what we are experiencing. Some of these spiritual problems in our society may affect the life of clubs and associations. The non-acceptance of cultural diversity and the struggle for approval is a mirror of these spiritual difficulties.
We propose to introduce in our programs, the concept of "transcultural" as a regular feature of anthropological spirituality, overcoming the limits of "multiculturalism" and "intercultural".

As we observed in the clubs, you must learn to allow time to learn to talk, to listen and learn from one / a hand / a. Of course, once again, this is also true regarding the differences that inevitably emerge within our programs.
- In many Italian regions are families of foreign origin. If our programs are included in the local communities we would expect in the coming years have at least 10% of foreign families with alcohol related problems in the club. In some areas (eg. Veneto) This has stimulated the production of information materials and initiatives designed to facilitate the inclusion of these families in our programs. It is proposed to constitute a group dealing with the collection of this material, and will promote an exchange on the experiences we have made up
- intervention in the working group of some friends of club members active in other countries, made us understand the great strength of the work we are continuing to do so as we have been requested by Hudolin in the last stages of his life. “Il Club non si chiude in se stesso come un’oasi felice, ma si apre alla comunità e si associa ad altri club del territorio. La funzione dell’Associazione dei CAT è di consentire un coordinamento e una collaborazione ottimale a vari livelli: dalla città al comune, alla regione, allo stato. L’associazione rende possibile un armonico svolgimento del lavoro secondo metodi e principi uguali per All Clubs (Visnja Hudolin, 1998).
